These elected officials’ most conscientious effort to oppose this unnecessary proposal is a testament that the people of each jurisdiction are also against the proposed marine monument.
Thank you very much for hearing the voice of the majority of the people of the Mariana islands.
Please continue to be deaf to the few supporters of the monument. Please forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing.
I call on all the people of the Marianas who have been silent on this issue to openly come out against this dreaded intention.
We must listen to the Native Hawaiians who are currently experiencing the negative impact of the Papahanaumokaukea Marine Monument. We must listen to the Native Hawaiians because they know better than the handful of monument supporters.
Let us not be fooled by the supporters of the monument because they don’t know and they have not had any experience, positive or negative, of this magnitude. The Native Hawaiians have the experience.
We, the non-supporters of the proposed Mariana Marine Monument, now have more than one million people who are with us. Let’s continue to show our non-support for this unnecessary proposal. God bless you all.
