Letter to the Editor: To Mr. Joe Borja

THIS letter is in response to so many complains in the little league selection process. How could you tell me that the two dominant players from Dandan Blue Jays have no chance in making it to the CNMI All-Stars?

I guess you have made up your mind. How could you even select three players from the no. 4 team in the league from the same team that are lower in batting average versus these two players from the no. 3 team in the league with batting averages of .545 and .520, (Nos. 6 and no. 9 in the top 10 respectively)?

These two players have proven themselves all season long and deserve a chance in the selection process. You deprived them of their rights—why?

We all know that the team manager did not show up for the meeting but this does not give you the right to punish these talented and gifted players.

Is this how the president of the league conducts a fair and honest selection process?

Also, you did not allow some team managers and board members to select these two players. Again, why?

Mr. Borja, I guess if your selection process is not based on statistics and professionalism then it is a process that also lacks integrity. Be fair and open minded. Let’s protect the integrity of this league.GEORGE M. FLEMING JR.
