Missing since April 12, 2025

HÅFA Adai.

My name is Geraldine Hattori and I am reaching out with a humble request for your assistance on behalf of my family.

My husband, Jeffrey Hattori, a 59-year-old man and lifelong resident of Guam, has been missing since Saturday, April 12, 2025. He departed the Hagåtña Boat Basin alone at approximately 6 a.m. that morning on a 14-foot white skiff boat with a blue bimini top, intending to go fishing. He has not returned, and we have not heard from him since.

The U.S. Coast Guard and local authorities conducted a search that continued until April 19, but all official search efforts have since been suspended. As a family, we continue to hold on to hope and are doing everything we can to locate him or find any information that may lead us closer to understanding what happened.

We kindly ask for your support in spreading the word within your community. Whether it’s through local news channels, social media, radio, or word of mouth, any effort to share Jeffrey’s information across the outer islands would mean the world to us. There is always a possibility that someone might have seen something or knows something helpful.

For background, here are two local news articles that provide additional information on Jeffrey’s case:

• Stars and Stripes – April 21, 2025

• KUAM News – Authorities Suspend Search

If anyone has any information, no matter how small it may seem, please contact me directly.

Si Yu’os Ma’åse’ for your time, care, and support. Your help means more than words can express.

With sincere gratitude,

GERALDINE HATTORI
