THE demise of the CNMI is not the typhoons but the loss of permanent reliable air transportation. The CNMI cannot bring in tourists or products for the business community on a timely and needed schedule.
The second and most glaring observation is that the CNMI government cannot even make payments for the utilities and other systems such as PSS, CHCC, along with outdated facilities like the wasted water daily because of a maintenance system that almost doesn’t exist.
Finally, and despicably, the many government employees from top to bottom going for a free ride at the expense of entire CNMI businesses and citizens!
I taught at NMC and was the USDA extension agent for CREES when it was known as the ALS (Agriculture and Life Sciences).
Funny that is also my own initials, ALS. But please take this comment seriously.
