Wisdom & bits of knowledge: The unity of all Christian faiths on All Saints & Souls Days

WHILE there are many Christian religions, there are two days and one man that unite all Christians under God’s laws and right to be a member of his Holy Family. I asked my MaDear when I moved to the Mariana Islands “what church do I attend, as there is no Baptist Church” and her answer of wisdom made it simple. She said, Ambrose just go to any church that worships Jesus Christ and you will be just fine, as we are all traveling the same Highway to Heaven, just using different cars (means).

Mankind’s ability of “free thought” has always been and will always be the thing that makes us all different seeking to solve the mystery of life and the one God in different ways, and who is to say which one is the exact way as there has to be more than one way to worship a God by people who think, talk and act in different ways. If we were all meant to be the same and worship in the same way God would have made it so but God allowed us to choose and decide about our journey on planet earth.

All Saints Day was started in May of 609 when Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  All Souls Day was instituted in a small town in France during the 10th Century by the Catholic priest St. Odilo of Ciluny to pray for the souls of deceased family members, which spread throughout the church and has remained All Souls Day up to now except for Mexico where it is called the Day of the Dead.  It is a custom in Mexico to bring the favorite food of the deceased to eat while paying your respect to the them in a family type setting. But the greatest consensus among all Christians is that these two days are recognized as well as the acceptance of the 10 Commandments and the recognition of our Savior Jesus Christ. Both of these special days are also worshiped on the same two days throughout the entire Christian World.

The Saints & Souls of Christianity

There is a rainbow of Christian Saints and Dead Souls of this world

We pray for all of them regardless of the Christian Banner they unfurled

It’s not about which Christian church you belong to

Just paying respects with prayers to those who were true

Christians shouldn’t try to judge one another

Because it’s God job to judge as our Holy Father

Who knows what is the right or wrong way to worship God

So, we must respect each other not throwing judgment and sod

All Saints and All Souls Day is a time to bring all Christians together

Praying and respecting the dead who will one day live again with us forever.
