(Press Release) — The Amelia Earhart Memorial Monument Inc. or AEMMI is announcing its dissolution as a corporation and at the same time is announcing a creation of a new corporation, namely, Amelia Earhart Saipan Memorial Monument Inc. or AESMMI, whereby the new corporation can apply for a Federal Employer Identification Number, as well as a federal non-profit status, the 501(c)(3), and to be chartered in the CNMI as a non-profit corporation with a goal to honor and respect Amelia Earhart’s visit on Saipan before World War II with a memorial monument on Saipan.
All assets and liabilities of AEMMI are to be transferred to AESMMI. The new officers and new board of directors were established during the meeting of AEMMI on April 6, 2022 on Saipan.
