Not sure what to order? Begin your adventure with these top three healthy option and your mouth will think it’s in the Middle East:
1) Shawarma is one of the best known traditional Middle Eastern foods, and is found in almost all Middle Eastern restaurants. It makes for a ridiculously tasty meal. Once you have the first bite, you’ll be hooked!
2) Hummus is one of Caravan’s best-selling dips. It’s so healthy and versatile, you can eat it any time of the day. Hummus is a creamy blend of cooked chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and tahini (sesame seed paste). Chickpeas are rich in protein, as well as fiber and iron. (Plus, the olive oil contains lots of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.)
3) Tabouleh is offered in every shawarma and kebab plate. This chopped salad-filled with parsley, tomato, cucumbers and onions offers a full range of bold flavors, and if you are looking for low-fat vegetarian food, then this is the best.
Last year, Caravan became part of the BIBA Healthy Restaurant Program through the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. and the CNMI Nutrition Council. It’s a program that aims to increase the availability of clearly marked nutritious food at local restaurants.
Caravan is among just four restaurants to have received an A+ BIBA grading.
This new year, Caravan hopes to add more delectable options to its menu, drawing from the recipes of its beloved late founder, Abed E. Younis, who loved to share his cuisine with the community.

Caravan’s hummus is all good.
Taboulleh. Tzatziki. Creamy Laban. Caravan’s salads always include a generous amount of herbs, like the refreshing combination of mint and parsley in Taboulleh.
