“This is an informal and fun way to meet the interested young women in our community and for them to meet us and ask questions,” said Stellar Marianas president Laila Y. Boyer.
“We would like to finalize the pageant as soon as possible and get rehearsals started. This is a great way to spend your summer, have tons of fun and make new friends,” she said.
To be eligible, contestants must be 17 to 25 years old, US citizen, single, no children and of good moral and ethical character.
The Miss Marianas Universe wins awesome prizes, such as $2,000 in cash and scholarships, the use of a car and gas for a year, among many other fabulous prizes.
“The best part is that she gets the chance to represent the CNMI in the Miss Universe and Miss International Pageants and meet over 160 delegates from around the world,” said Boyer.
“The experience will help develop new skills, help boost resumes and give young women the confidence of excelling to their personal best,” she said.
“We would also like to thank Marianas Visitors Authority for joining us as a co-presenter for the pageant,” she added.
