A SAIPAN native is in the running for a $50,000 make-up contest grand prize in Long Branch, New Jersey, and your vote could help her win the FanFave portion of the contest.
Marciana “Ciana” Concepcion is a former student of Mount Carmel School, Marianas High School, and Kagman High School. She has called Bellevue, Washington home for the past 10 years.
Today, she is en route to New Jersey to compete against 23 other contestants from across the U.S. as part of the Benefit Cosmetics 5th Annual Brow Search Competition.
Concepcion entered the contest after submitting two social media posts to Benefit Cosmetics that featured her make-up skills. Concepcion said she decided to take part in the contest after a friend encouraged her.
“I’ve been following [Benefit Cosmetics] and my friend sent me the flyer to see if I was interested,” Concepcion said. “I decided to shoot my shot.”
If she receives the most online votes for the FanFave portion of the contest, Concepcion wins $500 as a side prize. She will be in competition with the other national finalists from May 16 to 18.
Voting for the FanFave portion ends at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, May 18. Marianas residents can vote for Concepcion until 2 a.m. local time on Friday, May 19.
