(DLNR) — The Department of Lands and Natural Resources, in coordination with the Saipan Mayor’s Office and the Liberation Day Committee, has announced the closure of the Garapan Fishing Base during festival hours to prevent heavy traffic and trailers from being blocked.
DLNR asks mariners to refrain from parking their trailers, boats, or vehicles to allow adequate parking for emergency vehicles, festival attendees, and coordinators.
The Garapan Fishing Base will be closed on the following dates:
• Tuesday, July 4, 2023, All Day
• Every Friday and Saturday from July 1, 2023, to July 22, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Every Thursday and Sunday from July 1, 2023, to July 22, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
During the month of July, DLNR encourages all mariners to use the Smiling Cove Marina.
