(MVA) — One of Japan’s up-and-coming girl groups, Sky Syllabus, recently filmed a music video in the Marianas for their new song “TOKIMEKI White Splash,” which has been selected as the theme song of Chiba TV for this year’s Japan National High School Baseball Championship.
The group’s filming was part of a media fam tour supported in part by the Marianas Visitors Authority from June 21 to 23, 2023. The group also filmed a second video featuring hotels, beaches, restaurants, and leisure activities in Saipan.
“Sky Syllabus is an up-and-coming girl group in Japan who have a growing number of followers who will now have increased awareness of the Marianas and our stunning nature beauty,” said MVA Managing Director Christopher A. Concepcion. “MVA provided support in coordinating permits for filming at public locations, and in return, we anticipate to receive nearly $75,000 in ad exposure value through the videos produced. We’re grateful to Sky Syllabus for choosing the Marianas as their location shoot destination.”
While in Saipan the group filmed at Mariana Seaside Circuit, Grandvrio Resort Saipan, Seawind Marine Sports, the Saipan iconic sign, Surf Club, Mariana Lighthouse, and Kingfisher Golf Links. Filming was also conducted at scenic sites including Suicide Cliff, Ladder Beach, Micro Beach, Chalan Kanoa and Managaha.
