(UFO) — “Paskong Pinoy” 2023 will be held in the Marianas Business Plaza parking lot in Susupe on Dec. 10, Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. With this event, the United Filipino Organizations aims to uplift the spirit of Christmas by providing a whole day of fun-filled activities that highlight a traditional Christmas celebration.
The annual festivities are open to all members of the CNMI community. There will be simultaneous programs, presentations, entertainment, gift-giving, games, and raffle draws. There will also be local vendors who will offer food and non-food items for sale. Christmas melodies will be played throughout the event for all guests to enjoy.
The performers will include some of talented Filipinos on the island, as well as live bands like Unshakable Band, Groove Theory, and Sessionista Band.
The “Kwarta o Kahon” or “Money or Box” game will be the highlight of the event with a grand prize of $500 as of now. UFO is still looking for more sponsors to increase the grand prize. UFO is also selling raffle tickets for $1 with a grand prize of $500 and five prizes of $100 each as well as in-kind consolation prizes. No need to be present to win. The names of all winners will be announced and published.
During the event, UFO will also hold an on-the-spot lantern-making contest, grade school caroling contest, and an adult Christmas dance contest with prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively for the contest winners.
There will also be an on-the-spot drawing contest for kids 5 to 8 years old with cash prizes of $50, $30 and $20 for the top three winners. Registration will be at the event grounds.
