LOCAL historian Don A. Farrell will make a Power Point Presentation about his new and 12th book, “Seabees And Superforts At War — Tinian’s Critical Role in the Ultimate Defeat of Japan,” at the American Memorial Park Visitor Center on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 6 p.m.
The 519-page book brings readers back to the time when the U.S. military was building up its infrastructure on Tinian, the Seabees in particular and how it developed Tinian’s Northfield into a superfort that became very instrumental in ending the World War II.
