Within the south western Sichuan province 60 miles northwest of Chengdu, 158,000 people are currently being evacuated in nearly 110 areas.
Treasurer of the MHS Chinese Club Lzu Ziteng says the club is seeking help with from their fellow classmates and most importantly the community of Saipan. “We are trying to help and support China. We are trying to make as much money for the victims,” said Ziteng.
The club organized a money drive box at the school.
“Our club is very little with members consisting of 12. All that we want to do is help China.”
Companies and concerned citizens are encouraged to help the social club by calling the school or donating to the money drive box located at Marianas High School.
