Twenty-seven 8th graders participated in the event conducted by local artist Linda Torres. The project aimed to acquaint students with painting fundaments that could be applied in island beautification projects.
“The inspiration behind this event was to use painting to open the minds of the students and let their creativity show,” said MVA Rota Trades Technician David Atalig. “Painting lets you create your own masterpiece. We hope that the students take this lesson and apply it to life, understanding that they are the creators of their own destiny. In front of them is a blank canvas, and they have the power to make the most of every opportunity.”
