ROLLING out the red carpet for local artists, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters Inc.’s  has launched its 11th Annual Pacifica Art Contest or PAC with the theme “Rest Assured, it’s Christmas” to help usher in the holiday season.  Art entries this year will be among the thousands of other entries since PAC was first established back in 2014.

PAC will maintain two contest categories — traditional and digital.

The traditional category will be open to those ages 6-17 years and will be categorized into two groups — category one for ages 6-11 years and category two for ages 12-17 years.  The acceptable mediums for the traditional category include pen, paint, charcoal, oil pastel, crayons, and color pencil.  Traditional entries cannot exceed 24” X 36.”  Art pieces must be delivered to PIUI’s office located at the Joeten Center in Susupe.

The digital category allows artists to submit their artwork digitally. The artwork can be in the form of a two-dimensional graphic design, digital photograph or a 30 second video. These can be submitted via email at artcontest@pacificains.com or through our online submission form at pacificains.com/artcontest/.

Up for grabs for all winners include a cash prize of $200 accompanied by a gift set.
