PANDA House Waffles in Garapan serves waffles, Hong Kong-style.
“I love waffles since I was a kid and I have memories of eating it right after school,” said restaurant owner Ming Sheu who grew up in Hong Kong where waffles are an old street snack.
At Panda House Waffles, waffles are served with ice cream.
“We enjoy ‘summer’ all year round,” Sheu said, “so why not put waffles and ice cream together?”
Panda House Waffles are made before your eyes. “We make it when it’s ordered and we serve it fresh,” supervisor Kimmy Ocampo told Variety.
Among the flavors to choose from are vanilla, matcha, strawberry and chocolate. They are served with ice cream, chocolate or caramel syrup and colorful sprinkles.
The waffles are warm, fluffy and soft — and heavenly when combined with the cool flavors of ice cream.
“Nobody on island has Hong Kong-style waffles — they’re very unique,” Ocampo said.
She said the best sellers are vanilla or chocolate waffles paired with chocolate ice cream. “Seems everybody loves chocolate,” she added.

Panda House Waffles has an ongoing promotion for customers. If you spend $25 you get a chance to win various raffle prizes including home appliances.
The raffle draw will take place on Dec. 23, and the grand prize is a 32” Samsung LED TV.

Panda House Waffles also offers a variety of smoothies, milk tea, cappuccino and flavored cold coffee frappes.
Their smoothie flavors include strawberry, strawberry with banana, watermelon, honeydew and mango.
The available milk tea flavors are black tea, taro, matcha, mocha, Oreo and Thai. They are all served with black pearls.
Also available are pizza, pastas, fried chicken, chicken wings, hot dogs, burgers, Italian fries, calamari, fish and chips, ribeye steak, short ribs, Loco Moco, fish escabeche, soup of the day and salad.
