Saipan pianist wins gold medal at 2025 Tumon Bay Music Festival

IN an impressive display of skill and artistry, 11-year-old Jesus Mafnas Villagomez, a talented pianist from Saipan and Pioneer Music, was awarded the prestigious gold medal at the 2025 Tumon Bay Music Festival in Guam on March 1, 2025.

Jesus’ rendition of “Solfeggio in C minor by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach” delighted the judges and audience and earned him high praise for his technical precision and emotional depth. A gold medal at such a distinguished event is the culmination of years of hard work. Behind every note and every movement on stage lies countless hours of practice, self-discipline, and a passion for music.
