THE Queen of Drag 2022 Pageant was a big hit and a success!
Shine Vizcarra went head-to-head with 10 other contestants to vie for the crown during the pageant held in the grand ballroom of Saipan World Resort on Feb. 5, 2022.
Vizcarra is a hairstylist at Gene’s Barber and Beauty Salon.
The pageant, which featured competitions in fantasy costumes, lingerie wear, talent lip sync and evening gown, was organized by Bayani or Heroes Association in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
Vizcarra also won the Best in Lingerie, Best in Talent, Best in Evening Gown Designer’s Choice Award by Bench Legaspi, and placed second in Fantasy Costume.
The 1st Runner Up crown went to Patrick who also won the Miss Photogenic and Best in Fantasy Costume awards.
The 2nd Runner Up was Joan who was also named Miss Congeniality.
Third Runner Up was Noelle who was also the co-winner of the Best in Fantasy Costume Award.
Fourth Runner Up was Cecille who also received the Bayani Charity Award.
Rica Won the Best in Hair and Make Up Award while Nestea was the recipient of the Fan Favorite Award.
The other contestants were Sunshine, Christian, Kristala and Aileen.
Judges
The pageant judges were IT&E Executive Director of Customer Operations Rob Harrel, Miss Northern Marianas Earth 2020 Maria Lael Terlaje, Miss Northern Marianas 2021 Savannah Lyn Delos Santos, Tan Siu Lin Foundation Foundation Executive Director Merlie Tolentino and Miss Marianas 2015 1st Runner Up Dana Manglona.
The official tabulators from the Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants were headed by Irene Santiago who was assisted by Lois Maneses and Maricris Bucalig.
The event’s guest performers were the Saipan Music & Dance Studio, Bernice Shane Sabino, and Juliet Inocencio.

Pageant director and choreographer par excellence Ernie Molina conceptualized and directed the show while the event mistress of ceremonies was Annamae Adaza.

Part of the pageant proceeds will be donated by the Bayani Association to the Typhoon Rai/Odette victims in the Philippines and the victims of the volcanic eruption and tsunami in Tonga.
