Tayla Robinson, 15 years old of Johannesburg, South Africa won the crown last week, with Miss Teen Honduras Melba Doblado as 1st Runner Up, Miss Teen Canada Siera Bearchell as 2nd Runner Up, Miss Teen United States Michelle Leonardo as 3rd Runner Up, and Miss Teen Poland Erica Szymanski as 4th Runner up.
Tayla is a 10th grader, currently attending Florida High School. This straight A student is a ballerina and has been dancing since the age of five.
She is the daughter of Mark and Andrea Robinson and has one older sister, Jade Robinson. Tayla plans to attend a university after graduating high school and hopes to become a teacher one day.
The $5000 Scholarship, wardrobe from XOXO, year supply of cosmetics by Gaspar Cruz Cosmetics and $4,000 wardrobe from Crown Couture are just a few of her many prizes she won as Miss Teen World 2010.
Tayla says she would like to start her own charity and help those in need.
The 12 international contestants were Miss Teen Canada Siera Bearchell, Miss Teen Colombia Natalia Garcia, Miss Teen England Shelby Tribble, Miss Teen Greece Katerina Skourlas, Miss Teen Honduras Melaba Doblado, Miss Teen New Zealand Casey Radley, Miss Teen Poland Erica Szymanski, Miss Teen Russia Anfisa Danilina, Miss Teen South Africa Tayla Robinson, Miss Teen Ukraine Diana Doycheva, Miss Teen United States Michelle Leonardo and Miss Teen Wales Joanne Harris.
Miss Teen World will represent teenagers from all over world as a goodwill ambassador for hope, education and goodwill and will travel the World sharing Miss Teen World’s ideal, “Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful”.
