(FOA) — The Friends of the Arts is sponsoring its Youth Theater in presenting the CNMI International Thespian Team, featuring their production of Jason Pizzaro’s Alice in Wonderland with additional presentations of thespian individual performances, technical support skills, and film productions.
The production will be presented on Wednesday, June 12 in the Marianas High School cafeteria. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Admission will be by donation in support of the upcoming trip by the CNMI International Thespian Team to participate in the International Thespian Festival.
This family entertainment presentation marks the fourth production in this year’s Youth Theater project and will feature thespians from Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, Hopwood Middle School, Marianas High School, and Mount Carmel School.
The Alice in Wonderland production has been selected to participate in the International Thespian Festival’s Chapter Select Showcase. Also, individual students will be performing in competition for adjudication. At the festival, the students and their chaperones will be attending workshops and attending numerous theatrical productions. The festival will be held at the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana from June 23 to 28.
