(JKPL) — The registration for Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s October ukulele class is now open. It is open to children 8 years or older and adults. The total cost for eight class sessions is $70.
The ukulele classes are held at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in partnership with ukulele instructor Larry Lee.
Currently, JKPL is hosting an ongoing beginner’s ukulele class. Session#1 began on Aug. 12, 2021 and is held at the library’s Children of Our Homeland Center. The class is held every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The class is based on “first come, first paid.” Students must provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold music sheets: plastic sheet protectors and a three-ring binder are recommended.
Parents/guardians must sign a liability waiver form on behalf of their participating children and must adhere to public library policies and procedures.
For more information, call Celina Foreman or Caitlyn Crisostomo at 235-7315/7322 during regular library hours.
Class dates are subject to change, unless otherwise specified.
Local musician and ukulele instructor Larry Lee conducts the ukulele classes at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.
