The Beer Garden will have its grand opening this afternoon, at 5 o’clock, says businessman Erick Van Der Maas.
The Beer Garden, perched on the terrace of the 7th floor just below the 360 Revolving Restaurant, is the first Beer Garden on island offering everything a guest can ask for — a panoramic view of Saipan, Managaha and the Philippine Sea, fresh air, friendly service, affordable drinks and a wide array of appetizers to tempt your taste buds.
The place, accessible from the 7th floor by mounting a narrow, red-carpeted stairs is the perfect hangout from a grueling day at work or a round of golf where conversation and drinks flow freely at pocket-friendly prices.
The Beer Garden materialized from the initiative of five partners — attorney Stephen Nutting, Bob Hudkins, John Jones, Andy Tidwell and Van Der Maas.
“We decided to come up with Saipan’s first terrace beer garden to give our customers a place to eat, drink and hang out in total relaxation,” Van Der Maas said.
He added the Beer Garden can accommodate from 50 to 60 people, but they can add more tables.
Consultant Chef Hubert Friedle said customers have the option of ordering beer, wine and mixed drinks as well as appetizers from the 360 kitchen.
“This is basically an extension of the 360 Revolving Restaurant, but we have happy hours for those who want to eat, drink and meet friends in a cozy atmosphere,” Friedle said.
The Garden’s chasers include spicy chicken wings, crispy mahi fingers, cubed steak Chamorro, crispy fried squid, sashimi, sauteed NZ mussels, shrimp arancini, and nacho plate. With the appetizers are various sauces and dips.
The chasers start from $4.50 and up, but they will be adding more to their menu to satisfy the palates of the customers, Friedle said.
“Come on and check this place out and enjoy our happy hour 50 percent price off on all mixed drinks, tropical drinks and all beers,” he said.
For its grand opening tonight, he said customers will have the chance to bring home attractive giveaways from the restaurant suppliers
