The seminar was highlighted by the launching of parish priest Charlie Borja’s original composition, “We are Your Children,” which is now the theme song of “Light and Salt,” one of the church’s choirs.
Nat Angeles, Light and Salt head servant, said participants felt the spirit-filled atmosphere during the spiritual inhaling exercise.
“Everyone sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit and most of participants wept,” he said.
Angeles said they ended the first day of the seminar with praise and worship.
“People were joyfully singing, dancing and clapping their hands. Indeed the renewal by the Holy Spirit was so apparent and visible,” he said.
The participants also appreciated the group discussion which established a stronger bond among them, he added.
Head servant Cely Zamora led the opening prayer which was followed by discussions on “God’s Love,” “Salvation,” “New Life and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.”
A video was also shown regarding salvation.
Angeles said the participants were very “emotional” during the spiritual breathing exercise.
“The moment was so solemn and most participants started to cry during the Act of Contrition exercise,” he said.
Participants wrote their transgressions on a piece of paper which they then burned inside a pot while seeking God’s forgiveness.
Resali Garica, one of the speakers during the second day of the seminar, discussed “growth and transformation” as tools to sustain spiritual growth.
The seminar was concluded by the sharing of the participants’ relationship with God.
Angeles said they were thankful for the support of Fr. Charlie Borja Fr. Celso Magbanua and all the people who worked to make the event very successful.
