Topic of discussion will be   agriculture and food production opportunities in the CNMI.

Juan M. Sablan will also be on air to discuss the proposed House legislative initiatives affecting the Retirement Fund.

Octoberfest at MHS

(MHS) — Marianas High School will hold its Octoberfest Carnival today from 12:30 noon to 3 p.m.

The celebration includes student performances, games and activities.

Red flag at 10 Saipan sites

(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality says water samples collected from Central Repair Shop, Sea Plane Ramp, DPW Channel Bridge, S. Puerto Rico Dump, American Memorial Park, Outer Cove Marina, Hyatt Hotel, Hafa-Adai Hotel, Garapan Fishing Dock and CK Dist #4 Drainage contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI’s marine water quality standards.

DEQ has given these locations a red flag and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of the locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.
