Mendiola is a true educator by heart. She has been very dedicated and she shows willingness to lead our school in different student support program.
Mendiola is our school’s Language Arts Department chairperson and our school’s Teacher of the Year. She is actively involved in the PSS professional learning community. She provides numerous professional developments on reading and writing strategies. As a teacher leader, she handles many students support program including SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee contest, Academic Challenge Bowl, Umang Times monthly newsletter, and other school programs.
Mendiola is also a very responsible teacher and is very organized. She makes learning fun and is very helpful.
Mendiola is also a teacher mentor. As a mentor, she is very supportive to the novice teachers. She is smart and responsible. She shares her materials and her teaching strategies with other teachers and she makes everyone comfortable in teaching because she knows how to approach her colleagues.
Antonino Santos is the longest-serving employee of Koblerville Elementary School and our school’s Support Staff of the Year. Santos has been serving the school system for 24 consecutive years. His passion to serve our students motivates him to stay in his position as a Tradesman.
Santos is a very skilled tradesman. His creativity and dedication to the school are evident by accomplishing many of his projects including the building of the stage, construction of covered walkways and CCLHS classroom.
Santos is willing to accomplish his heavy tasks with a smile.
Santos works beyond his duties and responsibilities. Besides being a tradesman, he often offers his help to maintain school lawn, he cleans and fixes the restrooms, and he helps repair broken equipment and broken school furniture.
