If you submitted an application for Fall 2009, your application is still valid for Winter/Spring 2009-2010.
Supporting documents must be submitted at the same time and is due by March 1, 2010.
For new and returning applicants, supporting documents include acceptance letter; official transcript; copy of U.S passport and/or birth certificate; Winter/Spring 2010 class schedule; and provide proof of CNMI residency for 2007-2008.
For all ongoing applicants, grade report, official transcript and class schedule must be submitted before March 1, 2010, in order to be considered for next term.
For P.L. 14-37 Honors Scholarship recipients, submit the following supporting documents once they become available to you: official transcript and class schedule for Winter/Spring 2010.

Sharpen your customer service skills
(NMC) — Northern Marianas College, through the Division of Community Programs and Services’ Community Development Institute, is offering short-term classes to interested individuals who wish to improve their customer service and administrative skills.
The courses are offered as part of the college’s mission to provide customized, continuing educational and professional development opportunities in response to community needs.
Additionally, the classes, which are designed to improve individual knowledge and specific skills, are geared around actual workforce needs and experiences based on course surveys, community needs assessments, and interviews with employers.

DFS honors September employees of the month
(DFS Saipan Ltd) — DFS Saipan Ltd. recently recognized Florentina Reyes and Violeta Dangca as
September employees of the month.
Florentina Reyes was nominated by her bosses, Millie Faisao and Shoko Harada.
Reyes is one of the greatest team players of all times.
She is one of the most reliable people when it comes to attendance and sales floor coverage, visual merchandising coordination, and best organizational skill.
She has been a great asset to the team with her outstanding tem work. She is also a leader among her coworkers.
As a long term employee in the department, she sets a great example for others to follow.
Reyes was hired in Nov. 1998.
Violeta Dangca was nominated by team leader Charlene Quitano.
Dangca comes to work on time and is always prepared.
She is dependable and even covers for double shifts without hesitation when other staff need to take emergency leave, and she is excellent with her colleagues.
She assists in many ways to help others to develop and educates her colleagues to improve their customer service.
She takes initiative to improve our working environment: making sure the work area is clean and tidy, decorating the office, recycling any supplies whenever possible and saving energy.
She is a hardworking, dedicated, and pleasant person to work with.
Above all, her exceptional skill is her interaction with customers.
She makes sure customers are satisfied before leaving her area with exceptional Hafa Adai Spirit.
Dangca has been with DFS since July 1998.
Both employees received a framed employee of the month certificate, a $100 cash award, and VIP parking for one month. They are now eligible candidates for the 2009 DFS Employee of the Year Award in their respective categories.
