The debate/forum is free but donation is encouraged to assist the Commonwealth Retirement Association in its activities.
Members of the association are also encouraged to attend to finish the unfinished business on the last general meeting held on Sept. 23.
The ground rules for the forum are as follows:
1. No promotional materials: hats, shirts, banners, pins and any other campaign materials inside the multi- purpose center.
2. Cell phones must be turned off or put on vibrate mode. Do not use your cell phone inside the meeting area.
3. Do not applaud the candidates during the forum/debate. The moderator will tell the audience when to applaud the candidates.
4. No alcohol, smoking and betel nut chewing inside the building.

Call-A-Ride advisory
(CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities) — On behalf of the CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities, we would like to inform the clients of the Saipan Call-A-Ride that transportation services will be temporarily unavailable from Oct. 5 to 8, due to major repairs that need to be made to the accessible lift ramps.
Transportation services for Saipan clients will resume on Saturday, Oct. 9. To schedule for a ride for Saturday, Oct. 9, please contact Saipan Call-A-Ride drivers on Friday, Oct. 8.

Bank of Guam offers loan deferrals to affected gov’t employees
(Bank of Guam) —The Bank of Guam announced the availability of loan deferrals to CNMI government employees facing hardships as a result of reduced working hours. The program is effective immediately and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
CNMI government employees are encouraged to contact their local Bank of Guam CNMI branch managers and credit officers to discuss the details of the program. Lou A. Leon Guerrero, Bank of Guam board chairwoman, president and chief executive officer, stated, “The Bank of Guam is mindful of its community responsibility and is offering this opportunity to assist CNMI government employees who need it.”

‘Street Smart’
THERE will be a “Street Smart” presentation on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m., at Marianas High School, and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Saipan Southern High School
A two-person firefighter/paramedic team will conduct the presentation which will provide students with a front row view of the issue of drunk driving and illegal drug use.
