Free health screening

Registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. and the screening will end at 12 noon.

This free health screening program is offered by the consulate, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in cooperation with the Filipino Volunteer Medical Team, the CNMI Pharmacist Association and Hardt Eye Clinic.

The medical services include blood pressure, blood sugar, and vision check-ups.

Those who are availing of blood sugar level check-up must refrain from taking solid and liquid food from 12 midnight to the actual testing.

Chamorro talk show

FORMER Governor Juan N. Babauta will be on Marianas Agupa this Saturday, June 5,  to discuss his bid for the U.S. Congress.

The show starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. on Magic 100.3 FM.

The Chamorro talk show program is hosted by Glenn H. Manglona with a special guest host, former Rota Mayor Joseph S. Inos.

The show airs every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. It features a special report from Rota  correspondent and commentator Thomas D. Mendiola and from Tinian correspondent and commentator former Sen. David M. Cing.

DEQ monthly cleanup brigade

(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality cleanup brigade will be at it again, this time picking up trash at the Bird Island Beach.

If you would like to volunteer,  meet the DEQ representatives on Saturday, June 5, at 8 a.m. at the parking lot at the entrance to Bird Island beach.

Volunteers will start cleaning for about two hours or when finished and then break for drinks and continue if needed.

Democrats registering new members

(NMI Democratic Party) — The new NMI Democrats will be registering new members on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Minachom Atdao.

Registration is free and dinner will be provided.

The purpose of the registration is for future primary elections and for the inclusion of the NMI Democrats into the U.S. Democratic Party.
