There is a $25 fee for the English placement test that must be paid in advance at the NMC cashier. No one will be allowed into the testing room without proof of payment: a receipt for either the placement test fee or the NMC application fee. Payment for the NMC application fee will cover the English placement test fee.

(NMI Democratic Party) — The Democrat Reunion gathering originally scheduled for April 30 at Minachom Atdao has been postponed until further notice.
Tinian fiesta
ON behalf of the parishioners and the people of Tinian, Mayor Ramon M. Dela Cruz and San Jose Parish Pastor Fr. Sid Ogumuro would like to invite residents of Saipan, Rota and Guam to join the celebration of Tinian’s San Jose Fiesta.
The novena and Mass are scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 4:30 p.m. at the San Jose church. Dinner reception will follow immediately after the procession at the church grounds.
There will be booths and entertainment at Kammer Beach.

Red flag at 1 Tinian site
(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality says water samples collected from Taga Beach contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI’s marine water quality standards.
DEQ has given the location a red flag and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of the location for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.

The Department of Public Lands participated in the islandwide cleanup on April 23. The assigned area for DPL was from Microl-Toyota to the Chalan Kiya Mobil Gas Station.

Northern Marianas College’s Criminal Justice Student Organization recently visited the Department of Public Safety shooting range to try out the different tactical ammunitions and firearms used by the local police as part of Clyde Norita’s police organization and operations class. Sgt. Jason Tarkong and Officer David Hosono of DPS and Lt. James Ayuyu of ports police were on hand to supervise.
