Calling on all court translators and interpreters
(Superior Court) — The CNMI Superior Court is in the process of updating its list of translators and interpreters. If you are on the court’s list of translators and interpreters or are interested in being on the list, visit the Office of the Clerk of Court at the Guma Hustisia on Beach Road in Susupe and pick up an application form.
A person who has previously performed translation or interpretation services for the court but who has not reregistered in the last 30 days is asked to also file an application to be certified by the court.
New applicants with foreign language skills are encouraged to apply. Bring a copy of your photo ID. Application processing is free.

Tinian checkpoints
(DPS) — The Tinian Department of Public Safety will conduct occupant protection/ child restraint checkpoints on Friday, July 16, by the Hofschneider warehouse in Marpo Valley, from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
The second setup will be on Route 201 on the northbound lane from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
The third checkpoint will be held on Saturday, July 17, along the eastbound lane by the baseball field in San Jose from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
There will be another setup on the same day along the northbound lane on Broadway Road by the old Tinian Hotel from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
All checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.
