Special marine advisory

formed Tropical Depression 22w will begin impacting the southern coastal waters later today.

A small craft advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday to 6 p.m. Friday.

Winds of 20 to 30 knots and seas of 10 feet or greater will begin to affect the coastal waters late Thursday.

The governor is strongly advising the general public especially beach goers and inexperienced mariners operating smaller vessels to avoid navigating in these conditions.
