CHEERS filled the Marianas High School gym as students from San Vicente Elementary School sauntered in, wearing frightful masks that depicted characters from their grand prize winning presentation about the story of Frankenstein.
The audience was transported to a wonderland of books as contestants from six schools portrayed different book characters during Saturday’s 3rd Annual Parade of Books hosted by the Saipan Rotary Club.
The stories were made more interesting by seeing them spring to life through the acting abilities of the children.

Oleai Elementary School’s presentation of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” got 135 points and the second prize of $500, while Tinian Elementary School’s humorous presentation of “King Bidgood’s in the Tub” received third prize.
