0 hospitalizations; 18 new Covid-19 cases

(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of May 2, 2022, there were 0 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19.

From April 25 to May 1, 2022, there were 0 new hospitalizations.

But 18 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 11,281 cases since March 28, 2020.

Of the 18 cases:

1 on April 27, 2022

5 on April 28, 2022

1 on April 29, 2022

1 on April 30, 2022

1 on May 1, 2022

As of May 2, 2022, a total of 23,104 Covid-19 additional/booster vaccine shots had been administered. Of the eligible population, 61.9% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.

A total of 1,286 Covid-19 tests were conducted April 25 – May 1, 2022:

475 on April 25, 2022

144 on April 26, 2022

30 on April 27, 2022

359 on April 28, 2022

232 on April 29, 2022

28 on April 30, 2022

18 on May 1, 2022

Of the total cases identified as of May 1, 2022:

11,238 recoveries

9 active cases

34 Covid-19-related deaths

Of the cases, 10,375 were identified via community testing and 906 through travel testing.
