(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — 154 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 5,062 cases since March 26, 2020, CHCC reported on Tuesday evening. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 154 cases, which were identified on Jan. 31, 2022, sixty were identified via contact tracing, 74 via community testing, and 19 via travel testing. Two were identified on Rota.
As of Feb. 1, 2022, there were 11 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19: five were unvaccinated, five were vaccinated, and one was partially vaccinated.
A total of 103 Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Feb. 1, 2022, resulting in 99.3% of the CNMI’s eligible population being fully vaccinated.
The vaccination statuses of the 154 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 1,161 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Jan. 31, 2022:
895 via community-based testing;
235 at the Covid-19 Community Center (referrals only);
7 at Tinian Health Center; and
24 at the Rota Health Center.
Of the total cases identified, as of Jan. 31, 2022, there had been 4,185 recoveries and 854 active cases.
2,341 of these cases were identified via contact tracing; 2,144, community testing; and 577, travel testing.
There have been 23 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI since March 2020.
