Despite the weather conditions, participants, volunteers and spectators spent the morning, sharing good health, community engagement with the many nationalities, visiting and living in the republic and all to support the society and its efforts to continue services in Palau.
The annual walkathon was in commemoration of PRCS’s 11th Anniversary.
On Nov. 20, 1997, PRCS was recognized as the 173rd member of the International Committee of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The walkathon was held at the National Track and Field from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The event concluded with prizes for the top runners and walkers, refreshments, entertainment and a raffle drawing for its participants.
There were different categories for the event which include a 7K and 10K event for different age group.
