21 incidents reported to police over the weekend

Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon told reporters that the incidents include two driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving , burglary and minor arrested for consuming alcohol.

 Aguon said that on January 11, at around 8:35 p.m., it was reported that an off duty police officer called and reported that a white mini van rammed an off duty police officer’s vehicle in Ngerbechedesau.Aguon said initial investigation showed that the driver of the mini van failed to stop thus hitting the car of the police officer.The driver of the vehicle was brought to the police station and failed the sobriety test.The driver was eventually charged with DUI and reckless driving.On  January 12 around 12:27 a.m. a male caller told the police  that white colored van ran off the road also in Ngerbechedesau.The driver was said to have fallen asleep and ran of its lane causing the vehicle to hit the rail side of the road.Aguon said when the police approached the driver it was found out that he was intoxicated.A sobriety test was administered on him and he failed the test. Aguon  warned the public against passing through the middle lane saying that they will continue to impose traffic laws and will give citations to violators.He said the middle lane are used only for left turns.Aguon again reiterated that for any information on violators, the public is encourage to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 488-8477.
