(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — 226 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 7,010 cases since March 26, 2020, CHCC reported on Thursday evening. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 226 cases:
223 were identified on Feb. 9, 2022, and three on Feb. 8, 2022.
152 were identified via contact tracing, 74 via community testing and 3 were identified on Rota.
As of Feb. 10, 2022, there were 6 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19. One of the 6 was on a ventilator
Individuals who test positive for Covid-19 should stay home and isolate when they are sick (except to get medical care), even if they do not have symptoms. They should rest and stay hydrated. They can take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to relieve symptoms and live Covid-19 safe.
Individuals experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should stay home and live Covid-19 safe (except to get medical care or get tested for Covid-19). A total of 100 Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Feb. 10, 2022, resulting in 99.9% of the CNMI’s eligible population being fully vaccinated.
The vaccination statuses of the 226 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 570 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Feb. 9, 2022:
222 via Community-Based Testing;
331 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
17 at the Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified as of Feb. 9, 2022, there were 4,881 recoveries and 2,106 active cases.
3,555 of the cases were identified via contact tracing; 2,838, community testing; and 617, travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 23 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
