TWENTY-FIVE dogs at the dog shelter of the Saipan Mayor’s Office Dog Control Program are available for adoption.
These dogs are either strays or were left behind by their owners.
Leemark Deleon Guerrero, Dog Control Program field supervisor, said they are doing their best to “show their love to the animals” by bathing, feeding and petting them.
“But these dogs need permanent homes. This place is just temporary,” he said, referring to the dog shelter in Afetna which can only accommodate a maximum of 80 dogs.
Deleon Guerrero is also encouraging owners to register their dogs.
“If you really love your dogs and you don’t want them lost, have them tagged. When they are lost or impounded you can have them back,” he said.
If you want to adopt a dog or puppy, visit the Saipan Mayor’s Office Dog Shelter or call (670) 234-3647 (DOGS).
Shelter hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please give this dog a “forever home.” For more information, visit the Saipan Mayor’s Office Dog Shelter or call (670) 234-3647 (DOGS).
