(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — 252 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 5,314 cases since March 26, 2020, CHCC reported on Wednesday evening. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 252 cases identified on Feb. 1, 2022:
180 were identified via contact tracing, 66 via community testing, and 6 via travel testing.
One was identified on Tinian, and 16 on Rota.
As of Feb. 2, 2022, there were 9 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
5 were unvaccinated, 3 were vaccinated, and 1 was partially vaccinated.
Two had been discharged
A total of 97 Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Feb. 2, 2022, resulting in 99.3% of the CNMI’s eligible population being fully vaccinated.
The vaccination statuses of the 252 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 1,037 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Feb. 1, 2022:
607 via community-based testing;
352 at the Covid-19 Community Center (referrals only);
41 at Tinian Health Center; and
37 at the Rota Health Center.
Of the total cases identified, as of Feb. 1, 2022, there had been 4,226 recoveries and 1,065 active cases.
2,521 of the cases were identified via contact tracing; 2,213, community testing; and 580, travel testing.
There have been 23 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI since March 2020.
