Sherry Sisior, who has been working as the Administrative Assistant II at the Ministry of Justice got the Top Academic award which is equivalent to the class valedictorian when she graduated from the Academy.
Sisior and Jackline Kemesong were the only women among the 30 cadets who underwent three months of physical, academics, leadership and discipline training under the supervision of Lt. Aloysius Alonz who is the Academy’s Commander, Dolyn Tell, the Deputy Commander and three staff Police officers Byron Wong, Cedric Tatingal and Nicole Malsol.The Academy started on June 22 and ended on September 25.Sisior is married to Immigration Officer Flavin Misech and they have four kids. She will be working at the Criminal Investigation Section as the Administrative Assistant.She has been working at the Ministry of Justice for 14 years now but she only decided to join Bureau of Public Safety only last month when she enlisted for the Academy.She said she wanted to become a police officer.Sisior in an interview said that she feel good and so blessed of her accomplishments.“Although this kind of training is not new to me anymore, I still work hard and I really study hard. I’m just so happy that it’s over now and I feel so good and blessed,” she said.Sisior also got a degree in AS Criminal Justice. She just graduated this May.The other awardees are Tururang Tellei who got the Outstanding Leadership award; Harris Ubedei for the Top Physical Fitness; Morley Elbelau for Against All Odds award and Everson Sadang, Tururang Tellei, and Harris Ubedei for the Perfect Attendance award.Sylvester Alonz, son of Lt. Aloysius Alonz was also given a special award being the youngest cadet in the Academy.Palau has now 30 law enforcement officers, ten of them will be assigned to Patrol Division while the rest will be assigned to different states as law enforcement officers.The new cadets were also sworn-in by Minister of Justice Johnny Gibbons.Vice President Kerai Mariur and Senator Joel Toribiong attended the ceremony.The cadets who were sworn-in are Murray Blesam, Oldias Bells, Rengesuul Brell, Elbelau, Joseafat Ibutirang, Rechesengel Iyechad, Lamar Inacio, Madison Joseph, Jackline Kemesong, Aladdin Llecholch, Aldan Llecholch, Stanley Magholyalor, Stalin Mesubed, Mc Quelien Ngirmang, Rolland Ngirengkoi Jr., Telbiil Ngiraked, Stafford Odaol, Everson Sadang, Giovani Siliang, Nena Singeo, Sherry Sisior, Nixon Solang, Tururang Tellei, Elington Tengoll, Vito Timarong, Morgan Thelboi, Nick Tmecherur, Harris Ubedei, Michael Williams and Livante Yobech.
