4 charged with selling meth

FOUR men were arrested for selling methamphetamine to an informer during “buy walk” operations conducted by the Department of Public Safety-Drug Enforcement Task Force between June and November 2022 under a court-issued warrant.

The Office of the Attorney General separately charged Jun “Tragic” Xia, 44, Norbert Torres Cabrera, 55, Larry Angui, 41, and Raymond Angui, 53, with trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

On Monday, the four defendants appeared before Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho who imposed a $100,000 bail on each of the defendants.

The four defendants were represented by the Public Defender’s Office while Assistant Attorney General Steve Kessel appeared for the government.

After the bail hearing, Judge Camacho remanded the defendants to the custody of the Department of Corrections and ordered them to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 4 at 10 a.m., and for an arraignment on Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.
