The minors were all aboard a vehicle travelling on a high speed towards Malakal by Long Island Park when the car swirled and entered center lane and collided into another vehicle.
Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the incident was reported to the police at 2:06 pm on Saturday at the Coastway by the Long Island Park.The 16-year-old driver and his three passengers who are also minors were all hurt and were all rushed to the hospital for treatment.The two minor passengers sitting at the back were both thrown out of the car and landed on the ground.They suffered multiple scratches and were pronounced out of danger as well as the driver.The passenger sitting at the front, a 16-year-old man was admitted to the ICU for observation due to fractured rib, pelvis and possibly spine.The driver of the vehicle number two was also hurt and is now on stable condition.Aguon said police considered the case a reckless driving incident.In other police reports, a motorist was also hurt when the car figured in a single car accident in Peleliu Friday night.The driver sustained laceration to the eyebrow and foot.He was transported to the hospital in Koror for treatment.Meanwhile, a 57-year-old man was arrested for DUI and reckless driving when his vehicle collided into another vehicle in Meyuns Friday night.Oingerong Madercheluib received head and leg injuries when his car crossed the center lane divider and collided into another car parked across the area.Madercheluib had a 15-year-old man as passenger when driving on a high speed.
