5 nab for theft

CIS arrested four men on April 20 for stealing copper wires at the Civic Action Team’s camp in Airai.

The incident was reported to the police on April 10 when one of the officer discovered that the wires were already missing.Detective Willymays Towai’s Investigation revealed that the suspects were all interns at the said camp.They were on the job-training as carpenters, mechanics and plumbers when they stole copper wires from the site.The stolen wires valued at over $2,000, Alonz said.CIS also solved other theft incident which was reported to the police on April 17.A private vehicle was parked in front of the Land and Survey office in Ngerbeched when someone broke into the vehicle and stole an iPod.The investigation of Officer MacArthur Ucharm disclosed that some concerned citizens saw the suspect entered the vehicle.The citizens chased the suspect but failed to catch him at that time.CIS conducted a follow up investigation and apprehended the suspect on April 22.
