500 Sails is soliciting bids from qualified vendors that are interested in providing professional services for the design and construction management for the Northern Mariana Islands Maritime Training Center or the Cultural Maritime Training Center.
The EDA-funded project is a renovation of a 30,900 sq ft warehouse that is in generally good condition and currently in use as a boatyard and teaching facility, and administrative offices. The renovation does not change the footprint of the warehouse. The renovation includes construction of a classrooms and offices area, roof repairs, replacement of warehouse doors and windows, the selection and installation of air conditioning and air circulation for the entire facility including air filtration and exhaust, selection and installation of an overhead crane, and the installation of multiple delivery points of compressed air, vacuum hookups, and electrical outlets within the boatyard/shop floor.
The Scope of Work is available beginning October 24, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Chamorro Standard Time at the 500 Sails boatyard and administrative office, located in Lower Base, Saipan. Requests may be sent via email to nmimtc@500Sails.org/.
