(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 16, 2022, there were six individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19: three were unvaccinated, and three were fully vaccinated.
CHCC also reported Wednesday evening that 40 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,575 cases since March 28, 2020.
Of the 40 cases identified on March 15, 2022, one was identified on Tinian.
A total of 31 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 16, 2022. Of the eligible population, 58.4% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.
The vaccination statuses of the 40 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 241 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 15, 2022:
209 via Community-Based Testing;
18 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
14 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 15, 2022, there were 10,343 recoveries and 201 active cases.
Of the cases, 9,829 were identified via community testing and 746 through travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 31 Covid-19-related deaths.
