70-year-old woman killed

Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert H. Yano identified the victim as Teruko Franz-Kingya, 70.

Yano said the old woman was found dead by family members Sunday morning.Yano said they received a call from family member at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday.The victim sustained injuries on the forehead and facial area.The victim was believed to be struck with a sharp object in the head and facial area.Yano said the incident is now under investigation but they already have some lead on the suspect.Yano said investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division are now questioning a 30-year-old man in connection to the killing of Kingya.Horizon gathered from some sources that the man under questioning is related to the victim and is actually Kingya’s grandson.Sources identified the suspect as Ngirturong Kingya.Yano said the victim was occupying the house extension room and was living with her daughter and grand children.The Director said the victim was pronounced dead on the crime scene.“When the ambulance arrived at the scene the victim’s body was already stiff,” Yano said.The Director said the victim could have been attacked during midnight.Yano described the victim as a very strong woman when she was still alive.
