Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon identified the arrested persons as President Delbirt, Edwin Bemelt, 57; Canfield Borja, 31; Meolt Nicolas, 19; Teriong Miterwai, 21 and three minors.
They were arrested for disturbing the peace, drunk and disorderly conducts, trespassing, malicious mischief, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, DUI and reckless driving and illegal consumption of alcohol.Delbirt was involved in a disturbance incident in Ngaremlengui on Sunday morning while Bemelt was arrested for entering a residence in Airai on Sunday morning and stole betel nut.Borja was arrested for threatening a man’s life with a knife in Malakal, early Monday morning.Nicolas was apprehended for disturbing a residence in Meyas and for illegal consumption of alcohol Friday night while Miterwai was arrested for bothering a residence in Madelaii Saturday night.One minor was arrested for throwing a rock by the Mobil gas station in Topside on Friday.A 16-year-old man was arrested for reckless driving and DUI on Thursday night for driving a vehicle in a reckless manner at the Palau Community College cafeteria.A 15-year-old man was arrested for disturbing a residence in Meyuns Saturday night.
