The call of God

Rev. Paul Ferguson, in his keynote address, told the story of Joshua who “believed in the person of God and the promises of God and acted upon the call of God.”

He added, “You don’t become a mature Christian without facing difficulties. Joshua had his and so will you. These difficulties may be many and long — Canaan wasn’t conquered in 24 hours but over many years. You will find the same. It is a long pilgrimage to heaven.  The key to success is to build your life on the person of God and the promises of God. Most of us are too self-confident for God…. We must be humble and God-dependent like Joshua.”
