Division of Fire and Rescue (DOFR) Chief Benhart Baulechong said the fire broke out at the house owned by the late Ski Kertou.
The house was made of concrete wall, tin roof with wooden frames and this was abandoned.
He said at around 11: 10 p.m., DOFR received call from Patrol Division regarding the fire incident in Ikesiil.
The chief said he himself together with fire fighters, patrol officers, Fish and Wildlife and CID officers immediately responded on the area using two fire trucks.
He said the fire was extinguished at around 12: 30 a.m. No injuries or other damages were reportedly affected. However the house was 95 percent destroyed.
The cause of fire is yet not known. However based on DOFR assessment the potential cause of fire is the power line.
The CID is conducting further investigation.
